Overview
Nissan made the Rogue with the C platform found in the Japanese Dualis, the Qashqai, and the Sentra. The Rogue is a compact crossover engineered to compete with the Honda V and the Toyota RAV4. The Rogue is 65.3-inches in height, 70.9-inches in width, and 182.9-inches in length. It is longer than Honda and Toyota, but it is shorter and narrower. The car is also larger than its Euro siblings. The Nissan Rogue is ultramodern, and it has an urban feel. The vehicle was made in Nissan Design America in San Diego, California. The carmaker had plans for the Rogue to be a sporty alternative. The carmaker did away with the torsion-beam-rear-suspension shared with the Sentra. The Rogue is fitted with an independent Multilink system. It offers a carlike ride, smooth handling, and a decent package. Features include steering wheel mounted paddle shifters, standard stability control, traction control, front/rear disc brakes, all-wheel drive, and 17 inch alloy wheels. The Rogue is offered with the 2.5-Liter, 170 hp in-line-four joined to a CVT. The car can conquer 0-to-60 in 8.0 seconds.

The Krom model joins the Rogue lineup, adding unique 17-inch aluminum wheels with 225/60 tires, a new front fascia with integrated fog lamps, rear privacy glass, a body-color rear spoiler, and center-mounted exhaust. Based on the Rogue S, the Krom can be equipped with either front- or all-wheel drive, and is available in red, black, and gray paint schemes.
Exterior
The Rogue is based on Nissan's C platform, which utilizes plenty of high-strength steel to deliver stiffness and light weight. With an extended 105.9-inch wheelbase and 182.9-inch overall length, Rogue is one of the longest compact SUVs.
Interior
Along with 58 cubic-feet of cargo space, Rogue's interior offers a rear cargo organizer and available leather-trimmed seats, heated front seats (power driver's), Bluetooth phone capability, satellite radio, and a Bose audio system with seven speakers.
Performance & Handling
The sole engine option for the Rogue remains a 2.5-liter DOHC 16-valve I-4 putting out 170 horsepower and 175 pound-feet of torque. Mated exclusively to a continuously variable transmission (CVT) with available paddle shifters, the 2.5 delivers spirited performance combined with respectable fuel economy. Rogue comes standard with a front strut/rear multi-link suspension, electric power steering, and four-wheel disc brakes.
Safety
Nissan fits every Rogue with front, front-side, and side curtain airbags, the last for outboard occupants in both rows. The Rogue also gets traction control, stability control, and a tire pressure monitoring system.
